We are excited to announce the first steps we are taking to reopen the Library.
Step One: The book drop will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th. Any borrowed library materials returned in the book drop will be collected by library staff and placed in quarantine for 72 hours. We will continue to waive fines until 8/31.
Step Two: Curbside Pick Up for books and other library materials will begin on Monday, June 1st. To place a hold, order a book or check out other library materials please email stonlib@stoningtonfreelibrary.org or call 860-535-0658 between the hours of 10 a.m and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. You can place holds through your online library account at any time. When your request is ready to be picked up, we will either call or email you, whichever method you prefer. Your items will be put in a bag with your name on it, on a table outside in good weather, or you must call from the driveway and a member of the staff will place the bag in the trunk of your car.
Please note, if you are returning materials we ask that these be put in the book drop or in your trunk for a staff member to collect during pick up.
