The Village Fair Book Sale gets better every year! Thanks to you, at the 2023 Book Sale we brought in over $5,900 to support library operations. The planning, time, energy, and dedication of you, our community, made it all possible.
Our heartfelt thanks to
- Community members who generously donated books.
- Each and every volunteer who collected, sorted, boxed, moved and sold over a thousand books.
- Our Book Sale Planning Team: Volunteer Rory Contin and Development & Communications Director Stephanie Calhoun. Their planning and expertise resulted in a successful book sale for everyone.
- Polly Dufresne, expert curator and manager of the Select Books table.
- Kathy Adami at the COMO for her partnership, guidance and practical support.
- Leslie Bartholomew and the people of the United Church of Stonington for loaning us the Fellowship Hall as our book collection and sorting center, as well as allowing us to borrow tables for the sale.
All of our community members contributed to the success of the 2023 Village Fair Book Sale. As well as handling books, you drove trucks, baked cookies, set up tables, moved boxes, wrangled technology, supported other volunteers, and purchased books!
On behalf of Stonington Free Library staff and trustees, thank you all. People like you keep the library vibrant!
