The Stonington Free Library is proud to announce an Honorable Mention Award in Beanstack’s sponsored Summer Reading Program for children and teens. This prize comes with a $250 cash award.
Beanstack is a cloud-based software program used throughout the U.S. and Canada and serves over 1,900 library systems representing 10,000 library branches, 1,200 schools and 3 million readers. They offer reading challenges for all ages, with many options for customization and excellent customer support.
The criteria used to determine winners were:
- Overall Participation – the number of readers registered and active throughout the challenge relative to the library’s size/population
- Total Minutes Logged – how much reading was logged during the challenge relative to the library’s size/population
- Community Engagement – How your library engaged with the community throughout the challenge via various social channels
The library is grateful to all our patrons who participated in our Summer Reading Program and followed us on social media. We are proud of all your reading!
Be sure to join our September Reading Challenge – “NASA’s Artemis Project: To the Moon, Mars, and Beyond!” sponsored by the Space Science Institute. This is open to all ages. We challenge our patrons to read, try some activities, and track their reading on our Beanstack site at stoningtonfreelibrary.beanstack.org. Hundreds of libraries across the nation will be reading and learning alongside us for a chance to win circulation backpacks of STEM-related resources from the Space Science institute.
Happy reading, Stonington!
