REOPENING PROTOCOLS – EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 26, 2020
HOURS:
- Monday 10-6
- Tuesday 10-6
- Wednesday 10-7
- Thursday 10-6
- Friday 10-5
- Saturday: 10-1
FOR YOUR SAFETY:
- Do not visit if you are feeling unwell
- Facemasks required to enter the library and must be worn at all times in the building
- Children 2 years and older must wear a mask
- No public restrooms
- Each individual or family limited to a half an hour in the building
- Please practice 6’ social distancing guidelines throughout the building
- One person or one family at a time in book stack aisles
- Elevator restricted to one person or one family at a time
ENTERING/EXITING:
- If you are able, please ENTER through the front door and EXIT through the side door
- To access the Children’s/Teen Rooms, if you are able, please take the elevator DOWN and the stairs UP
BOOK RETURNS:
- Items must be returned in the outside book-drop
- Returned items are quarantined for 72 hours
BROWSING:
- Limited browsing is encouraged; please be mindful of building limits and those waiting to enter
- Children’s/Teen Room open for browsing only
- Limited seating in the building at this time
- Limited access to glass floor mezzanine
- No access to local history collection
- Staff available for assistance/retrieval of items (not including in-person computer assistance)
CURBSIDE PICKUP:
- Curbside pickup will continue as an option
- Place holds online, by phone or email and you will be notified when they are ready for pickup
COMPUTER/COPIER/PRINTER USE:
- No public computers available at this time
- Limited seating for personal device usage
- No in-person computer assistance at this time; may sign up for online assistance by appointment
- Self-service copy machine available (no in-person assistance)
- Printing available if emailed to stonlib@stoningtonfreelibrary.org or printed from your own device via the Library’s Wi-Fi
