These paper stars originated in the 19th century and make delightful tree or window decorations. They are named for Friedrich Froebel, the German educator who founded the concept of Kindergarten. He used paper folding to explain mathematical concepts to children. Froebel Stars Kits contain 16 paper strips (makes four stars) and instructions.
