Make Your Own Leather Bound Journal

October 16, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Leathercraft Workshop with Dana Campbell of Shuttle Press & Bindery

Dive into the world of bookbinding and leathercraft as you learn the long and link stitch! Students will learn a brief history of leather-bound books and will receive guided instruction on how to create their own leather wrap book with suede or twine closure. Select your leather, thread color, and closure material to create a book that is uniquely you!

This is a “make and take” class – students will create one leather-wrap book to take home.

No experience required, however, prior crafting or hand-sewing experience is recommended.

Ages 16 & up. Space is limited. Registration required

All library programs are free and open to the public. For more event information, go to the SFL Events Calendar online.

Visit Shuttle Press & Bindery at www.shuttlepressbindery.com.

This program is made possible by a grant from the Katherine Forest Crafts Foundation, Inc.
