Event Navigation

The current exhibit features the work of Edward Tucchio. He is a graduate of the Hartford Art School, where he earned degrees in Graphic Design and Education. Ed taught art at Wheeler High School for 35 years before retiring in 2004.
Alongside his teaching career, Ed spent much of his free time working in many areas of art and graphic design. His work has included sign painting, architectural renderings, a series of pen-and-ink drawings and prints for the town of North Stonington, marine oil painting, and writing and illustrating children’s books.
Ed has been married to his wife, Patricia, for 57 years, and they have two daughters, both of whom are teachers.
When he is not in his studio, Ed can often be found planning and working on additions to their home on Cove Road—a project that has evolved over nearly five decades. Maintenance, cutting wood, and repairing things in the workshop are simply part of his daily rhythm.
We are proud to have Ed as an exhibiting artist in the SFL Stairwell Gallery. You can also see the beautiful work he did on our Lobster Trap Buoy on display in the Main Reading Area.
