Touched by Turkey: Its People, Culture and Food

September 18 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

In Person and Live Streamed on the SFL YouTube Channel

In 1978, the summer between Anne’s  Junior and Senior year in High School, she was fortunate to spend time as an American FIeld Service Exchange Student.

For 3 months, she lived and traveled with a family from Istanbul Turkey, an experience that was invaluable and would come to shape the rest of her studies, work interests and travel  for decades to come. Over the last forty years, she has returned to Turkey many times, deepening her connection to the ever changing country and its people.

Join her in the library as she shares stories, photos, and reflections from her time in Turkey and the lasting impact it has had on her life.
