THE LIFE & LEGACY OF SAMSON OCCOM, PRESENTED BY G. THOMAS COUSER

G. Thomas Couser, Professor of English, Hofstra University and President of New London Landmarks, will discuss Samson Occom’s (1723-1792) role as an important scholar and leader. Born on a Mohegan settlement in southeastern Connecticut, Occom is considered by some to be the father of Native American Literature.
