One Book, One Region – Kick off event!

We are thrilled to announce this year’s book selection by Daniel Black called Don’t Cry for Me! The Kickoff Event will be held at The Red Barn at Mitchell College, 629-A Montauk Ave, New London, CT 06320 on Wednesday, January 29th at 4:30 pm featuring speaker Kevin Booker, Jr.
Don’t Cry for Me tells the story of a Black father who, on his deathbed, seeks reconciliation with his gay son through letters. This poignant and insightful novel explores themes of empathy and forgiveness, and will resonate with readers who enjoy the works of Ta-Nehisi Coates, Robert Jones Jr., and Alice Walker.
