What's Up in the Children's Room

We have lots of programs scheduled for the next few months, some tried and true favorites and some new exciting ventures!
Spring story times....we will have lottery style registration for Stonington residents begins the week of February 4 during regular hours. Registration for non-residents will begin the week of February 11, space permitting. We are adding an additional story time for the All By Myself Preschool Stories (3 - 5 year olds).
The sessions are as follows: Babes in Arms Read to Me (birth to 12 months) will be Wednesdays 11:30 - 12:00, Lap Time Stories (ages 1 - 2) will be Wednesdays 10:30 - 11:00, Side by Side Stories (2 year olds) 10:15 - 11, All By Myself Preschool Stories will be either Thursdays 10:15 - 11:15 or Fridays 10:15 - 11:15. Spring Story Time will begin the week of March 4 and run for eight weeks this year (there will not be story time the week of April 14 due to school vacation).
Junior Kids' Book Club for grades 3-5 will meet again on Mondays from 4-5 PM, February 25 - March 10. Registration will begin the week of February 11. Once again, we will be reading one longer book, doing crafts and games, and of course, having a snack.
Eager Readers' Book Club for grades 1-2 will follow the same format and schedule, with registration the week of March 10 and the program running March 17 - March 31.
New this spring are drop in Saturday Morning stories and craft on March 1, April 5 and May 3 at 10:30 AM.
March also brings our celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday. Join us (ages 4-8) on Tuesday, March 4 at 4:00 for a snack and some Seussical fun activities!
