A monthly book discussion of some favorite books of your Stonington friends and neighbors You don’t have to read the books to enjoy these discussions! Bring a sandwich; the Friends of the Stonington Free Library will provide coffee, tea, and light snacks. Programs begin at 12:00 noon and are held downstairs at the library. All programs are FREE and open to the public. Copies of the book for each discussion will be available through the library. 2007 - 2008 SCHEDULE October 4 – Belinda de Kay, Assistant Director of the Stonington Free Library, will discuss The Warden by Anthony Trollope. November 1 – Ted Danforth, writer, will discuss Can You FOrgive Her? by Anthony Trollope. January 3 – Alice Fitzpatrick, Director of the Community Foundation of Southeast Connecticut, will discuss The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. February 7 – Sally Wood, independent media consultant, will discuss An Autobiography by Agatha Christie. March 6 – Tony Pelligrini, Stonington resident, will discuss The Mystery of Capital (Why Capitalism Triumphs in the West and Fails Everywhere Else by Hernando de Soto. April 3 – Derick Nicholas, Stonington resident, will discuss Aniaml Farm by George Orwell.
